Sources of "Liquid Splenda"

I prefer artificial sweeteners in a liquid form, since I don't like the flavor or the extra sugar/carbs in most of the powdered forms. Since sucralose ("Splenda") is very concentrated, it needs a "carrier", and I prefer a flavorless, carb-free one, such as water. For almost all recipes, the liquid works as well as powdered forms.

Sweetzfree - This is the most concentrated, and cost-effective brand I have found. The only trouble with it is that for some purposes it is just TOO concentrated - one drop can make a big diffference at times. The other thing is that sometimes the hole clogs up with sucralose crystals and needs to be cleaned out. Despite these issues, I like to have some on hand, and it is the best one for tucking into pocket or purse.

Zero Carb Syrup Base Concentrate - This looks expensive, but a bottle lasts a long time. No off-flavors that I can detect. My only complaint is once I got one with a top that was hard to control. I think they've improved on that, however.

Fiber-Fit - A sweet "fiber supplement" (actually, sweetener with a little fiber in it). More expensive than the above for the sweetening power, as it's more dilute.

Da Vinci Sugar-Free Syrups - I've tried several brands of flavored sugar-free syrup, and these are my favorites. They can be used in lots of ways - in shakes, in cooking or baking (try the caramel to add a brown-sugar flavor), or to flavor mild-flavored foods like cottage cheese. There are a whole bunch of flavors. I get them from Netrition.com, where no matter how large your order, you only pay $4.95 in postage.

*Please do not email me about the evils of artificial sweeteners. While it may be true that in the best of all possible worlds I would eliminate these chemicals from my diet, I feel I have made enough radical changes for now, and if eating artifically sweet stuff makes my limited diet more enjoyable, and there aren't obvious reasons why not, I'm going to do it.
