Welcome to my web page about my flying.

Photo taken by Brian D. Moffet at Delano Ca.

The airplane above, a 1946 Stinson 108-1, is my airplane. I've owned it since 2004. I have flown it to Orange County airport through the Los Angeles airspace by using the Hollywood Park VFR Route

Once upon a time, when I had more money, I took acrobatic lessons at Sean D. Tucker's School of Flying, now The Tutima Academy of Aviation Safety

You can read about my lessons.

My flyng takes different forms, depending on how much money and time I have. As usually happens, life takes priority sometimes. I am luccky to be involved in two groups at the moment, the International Stinson Club and the Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 119. I take an active role in each of these group, as webmaster for the Stinson Club, and as newsletter editor for the EAA Chapter 119. Sometimes I just take photographs of airplanes. I work as the lead judging photographer at the Watsonville Airshow So far I have taken ground shots, aerial photographs, and ground to air shots. Someday I hope to practice air-to-air shots.

My goal in flying has always been to pilot a P-51 Mustang. Even if I don't actually accomplish this, I should have fun along the way.

To date, I have flown the following airplanes:

Stinson 108-1
RV-8
RV-7
PA28-180
RV-10
RV-9
Citabria
Cessna 150/152
Cessna 172
Piper Cub
Christen Eagle
Pitts S2C (yes, the one on the left.)
Pitts S2B
Aeronca Champ
PA28-150
Clipwing Cub

And I have flown in, but not controlled:
