Garrison Keillor will read “Her Legacy” by Barbara Bloom on Monday, April 28 on his daily show The Writer’s Almanac.  This will be the third poem from Barbara Bloom’s collection On the Water Meridian featured by Mr. Keillor.  In the Monterey Bay area you can hear The Writer’s Almanac every day on KAZU 90.3 FM at 9:01 AM and 8:01 PM.

• On November 18, 2007 Ken Weisner and Tilly Washburn Shaw read with Dena Taylor, Lilian Heritage, Morton Marcus, Gail Meehan, Charlie Meehan, Claudia Sternbach, Gael Roziere, Stephen Kessler, Gary Young, Julie Olsen Edwards, Ellen Treen (for Diane di Prima) and Rebecca Meehan in the reading Celebrating Santa Cruz Poetry Diva Maude Meehan, an afternoon of poems and stories presented by Amber Coverdale Sumrall and Patrice Vecchione.  This reading will be shown on The Poetry Box, a half-hour TV poetry show on Community Television of Santa Cruz County, on Comcast cable channel 27 and Charter (Watsonville) channel 73.  The third part of three parts of the reading will be aired on Tuesdays, April 8 and 15 at 8:30 PM and Thursdays, April 10, 17 and 24 at 9:00 PM. The show was filmed 11/18/07 by independent producer and Hummingbird Press poet Joanna Martin.

On the Water Meridian by Barbara Bloom and Sweetwater, Saltwater by Rosie King have been nominated for the first annual Poetry award from the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association.
